The “Morning Paper and A Cup Of Coffee” Parts 1 and 2 were very nice pieces of fiction. Perhaps a holiday story? We get to celebrate three on or near Dec. 25th this year, it's like a Holiday Super Moon.

I'd love to have your ideas on Christmas gifts for ALS patients at various stages of progression. I have ideas for my husband but none of them are great. He is bedridden, paralyzed on one side, and his other arm and hand are nearly useless. I'd like to get him something that would make him smile.

Dear David,

So sorry to see no post this week. No matter how busy I get I always look forward to what you have to say.

How about something for the holidays. You probably can't do all the things for the season you once did, like cards, decorating, cooking, eating, but I am sure you and Laura have by now come up with some new ones. In any case it's just another reason to check in with family and see what everyone is up to.
