Living To Die Or Dying To Live” Chapter 148

Someone recently asked what keeps me motivated to keep living, instead of just letting go knowing you are going to die?
My answer, “If not me then who?" I know a lot of people dying to live. Most people don’t want to die, but don’t do anything significant with their lives. Yet you can find lots of stories of people dying who accomplish great things.
I would not say I am accomplishing great things compared to the many I know who are, but we are all dying to live. We all are giving back when and where we can with the resources we have available, and I can say I keep on doing my part where I can.
So this week I ask you, are you living to die? Are you going through life trudging through every day? Or are you dying to live, giving back to others, doing something with your life to make a difference?

Great answer. You are making a difference in your sphere. I try in my own, running food drives and delivering donations to my local St. Vincent de Paul's food banks and thrift shops. Wouldn't it be a wonderful world if we all followed your example?
Because my husband is mostly paralyzed, what he does is think - he thinks about what we could do to make the household easier for me to manage, or what we could buy to make his life easier. When he has to go to the VA to see his ALS team, he makes the most of what is a very uncomfortable and exhausting trip and rarely complains, which helps reduce overall stress for both of us. He normally wakes up with a smile and seems to love living!
You are so right!!! I know I need to practice waking up and making the world a better place more often! Thanks for the reminder.
