“Lords and Ladies” Chapter 150

I wrote my first chapter on 11 September 2022, an introduction titled "I Have ALS, Now What?" Now - as I write post 150 - I am amazed I made it this far. I am not talking about my living with ALS either... that’s the easy part and gives me something to write about.
I’m talking about writing a post almost every Monday since. I want to thank you all for taking time to read it and respond. Some of you have been following me from day one, and others might have some catching up to do, lol. I appreciate you consistently donating your most expensive resource, and it’s not your money or your Bitcoin. I'm talking about your time; the one asset we all have. The resource where we get to decide on it's value and what we are willing to spend it on.
I would be remiss if I didn’t give a special shout out to my family who supports me every week with pictures, ideas, and positivity, along with my Chief Editor Katie, and my Chief Internet Genius Omar - both great friends.
For this auspicious occasion, what could be more fitting than a King and Queen? And where can you find a King and Queen in the United States of America? At Medieval Times, of course. I gathered my men (3 daughters and my Son-In-Law) and our steed (our big ass van), and traveled across the land (the Mall in Baltimore). When we arrived, our importance shined as we were escorted to our seats (handicapped early seating) and adorned with gold and jewels (paper crown).
The King and Queen presented their Knights of various colors and the festivities began. Our Knight was adorned in yellow. He was a handsome man with long locks of hair. He fought in a manner fitting of his color yellow... and lost. I could have done better in my wheelchair. A feast was served to all (I couldn’t get the chicken 🍗 in my peg so I had Liquid Hope) where we ate with our hands and banged our cups down and cheered like men (we clapped and someone spilled their drink). On this day the way and the blue knight won a sack of gold (gold chocolate coins).
When the night was over and the dust cleared, we learned we were mere mortals and returned to our vehicles to go home with smiles on our faces. It didn’t matter that our knight lost because for two hours we were Lords and Ladies forgetting about ALS and were treated like royalty in the Medieval Times…

Sounds like so much fun! I'm so glad you got to be crowned there, losing gold knight notwithstanding.
This was fun and uplifting. You deserve to be treated like a king, and your family, like royalty!
Well Dave you continue to inspire me each and everyday I get to wake up !
What a fitting way to celebrate your 150th post about Living with ALS.
